Liberals: The Unpatriotic Americans
July 15, 2008
I honestly think that our country is one of the best countries in our world. I just think that it is so arrogant that Liberals think that the United States of America is the worst country in the world and how bad it is when it isn’t. I think if people don’t like America, they can leave and find another country to go complain about and find happiness there if they must. Our country has so many qualities and advantages that many countries don’t even have. I mean, for example, our country has the lowest poverty level in the world, we have freedom here, our economy is great, our military and army is wonderful, we have top-of-the-line technology, and have everything we could possibly want or need. Another thing that is irritating about the American Liberal is that they think that war is a bad thing to happen to our country and that we shouldn’t fight back if anyone attacks us. For example, when the September 11th attacks occured, and 2,974 people died, the Liberals didn’t think that it was necessary to go to war with Afghanistan. They attacked our country and killed people and destroyed two of our countries famous land marks and we’re suppose to just sit there and do nothing? I don’t think so. War in a way is a good thing for America. It shows people and other countries that we don’t like to be messed around with, and yahda dada. So anyways, back to Liberals. I think that Liberals should respect America more since they live here and were most likely born and raised in this great nation that is ours. I will post a bulletin everyday. Thank you for your time.
Oh Thomas. This makes me question if you understand any simple concept having to do with politics. Liberals and Conservatives alike complain about the government, everbody does. Obviously if they care they are patriotic. The points you described do nothing to prove your point, liberals support government funding of technologies, support the government fight of poverty, and *cough* I’m not quite sure if great is how I would describe our economy right now.
Really, I just do not believe that you understand what you are talking about. Please seek education before you try to make another arguement.
Wow… This is really lame, Thomas. What’s funny is that Liberals actually have something to complain about now. Peter Wagner and I were discussing this topic over lunch the other day actually, and he was telling me about a book he was reading, called “The United States of Europe.” It was a book basically pointing out all of America’s flaws, and gives ACTUAL REASONS for why the United States is so easy to be hated. I don’t think you gave any for why we shouldn’t be. The U.S. dollar isn’t exactly the most powerful form of currency anymore, we’re only guaranteed three rights and I don’t really see the need for a big military (and just so you know, the army is a part of the military). In response to your comment with the Liberals opposing the war with Afganistan, it was almost a unanimous vote to go to war with them, the problem was with expanding the war into Iraq, where we had no real problem, other than the rumor of the Taliban moving in there. And how is war a good thing? Other than WWII, I don’t think the U.S. economy has ever really improved BECAUSE of a war. And I don’t think that using our military strength is going to make people remember that we have a comparatively outstanding military, seeing as how our military is kind of the only thing that we’re known for (besides being complete snobs and ass holes), that and Microsoft.
“Stand with anybody that stands RIGHT. Stand with him while he is right and PART with him when he goes wrong.” -Abraham Lincoln
Oh don’t pick on him because he has an opinion. It’s the freedom that America offers that allows people like him to express his opinion.
Liberals (and I mean far left ones) believe in more government control over people’s lives. They vote in and try and create more laws that interfere with people’s freedoms. They believe in handouts, they’re the author of political correctness who believe that freedom of speech isn’t acceptable if someone says something that offends someone else. No where in our Constitution does it read: “We have the right NOT to be offended”. If we have freedom of speech then there’s a chance someone will get offended. It’s the liberals that brand anything they don’t like as “hate speech”. If someone disagrees with the gay lifestyle they’re labeled homophobic or hateful. When has disagreeing made a person hateful? You can disagree and not hate someone. But not according to the liberals. If they could they’d create “thought police” as well. Tolerance is only a one way street to a liberal. They refuse to show the same tolerance for people who have different ideas that are contrary to their own.
As for Conservatives (and I mean right wing ones) Their rules seem to change depending on who’s making the rules at the time. Morals are subjective. They’re quick to the point the finger at others but don’t take any blame themselves when they fail. They refuse to do anything about issues that their own party complains about. They run on platforms of morality and promises of change and then when it comes to making those changes they make excuses and do nothing. They seem to be filled with alot of hotair. I think they’re cowards.
I think America needs a three party system. As it is we’re stuck with two very extreme ones.
How about a moderate independent party? I think the Constitution Party should replace the Republican party and the Libertarian Party should replace the democrats. Time to wipe the slate clean, get back to the foundations of what this country was based on and tell the naysayers to either appreciate the fact that they live in the greatest country in the world because of the unprecedented freedoms we have or they need to find a place where they can be comfortable and proud of. I hear Iraq, Russia and France don’t mind new citizens…
